Masahiko YAMAZAKI

Dr. Masahiko Yamazaki is an Associate Professor of Space Engineering at the Department of Aerospace Engineering, College of Science and Technology, Nihon University, Japan. Specializing in CubeSat system design, satellite‐based disaster monitoring, and model-based systems engineering, he has led or co-led several satellite missions. Dr. Yamazaki developed the internationally adopted HEPTA-SAT hands-on training program, which has trained over 1,000 participants in more than 50 countries since 2012. He currently serves as Principal Investigator of PRELUDE, a 6U CubeSat scheduled for launch in FY 2025 to observe ionospheric disturbances preceding major earthquakes. Dr. Yamazaki is a Director of the University Space Engineering Consortium (UNISEC) in JAPAN.
