Zhengning Zhang

Zhang Zhengning received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Harbin Institute of Technology and his Ph.D. in Engineering from the Department of Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University. He holds the title of Professor and is currently Director of the System Demonstration Center at Space Star Technology Co., Ltd.

He has held several academic appointments, including member of the Satellite Applications Committee of the Chinese Society of Astronautics and technical committee member of the Specialized Committee on Space–Air–Ground Multi-Source Information and Integrated Disaster Reduction.

His work focuses on satellite applications and artificial intelligence, with a commitment to advancing the integrated application of communications, navigation, and remote sensing satellites. His current research interests include remote sensing image processing, object detection, and disaster early warning.

He has authored three academic monographs, including Spacecraft Communications, as well as popular science books such as Pioneering the Universe. He has published more than 40 academic papers and been granted more than 20 invention patents.
