Max Haot

Max Haot is an accomplished entrepreneur and CEO with nearly thirty years of experience founding and leading innovative technology companies in consumer products and space technology.

Haot’s career began at IMG Media London, where he served as senior vice president for ten years, overseeing the interactive division. He then joined Verizon Business as vice president, leading sales and consulting for its Digital Media division. In 2007, Haot founded Livestream, a pioneering online video and audio media platform, serving as CEO until its acquisition by IAC/Vimeo in 2017. He went on to launch Mevo, the company behind an all-in-one wireless live-streaming camera, continuing as CEO until its acquisition by Logitech. In 2017, Haot founded Launcher, a space startup specializing in advanced rocket engines, orbital transfer vehicles, and technologies supporting the space economy. Vast acquired Launcher in February 2023, where Haot initially served as president before assuming the CEO role in August 2023.

As Vast’s CEO, Haot leads the company’s mission to develop humanity’s next-generation space stations and advance long-term living and thriving in space. Vast’s Haven-1, targeted to launch in 2027, will be the world’s first commercial crewed microgravity research, development, and manufacturing platform. The company is also working on Haven-2, the proposed successor to the International Space Station to support NASA’s Commercial LEO Destinations (CLD) program.
