Caroline Pegram is an accomplished producer and science communicator with over two decades of experience working with award-winning companies and prominent media figures. She is best known for her 20-year collaboration with Dr Karl Kruszelnicki, where she helped bring science to wide audiences through engaging and accessible media. Caroline is recognised for her talent in working with distinctive personalities and translating complex subjects into compelling narratives. Since 2016, Caroline has led innovation at Uncanny Valley, where she helped build global partnerships and pioneered the use of AI and machine learning in music and creativity. She led the team that won the inaugural global AI Song Contest in 2020 and was a finalist in the 2022 Women in AI Awards. Her recent work includes curating the Australian Cybernetic: a point through time exhibition with ANU, and co-authoring its companion book. In 2023, she became Head of Tech & Innovation at South by Southwest (SXSW) Sydney, the Asia-Pacific edition of the renowned global festival celebrating the convergence of technology, film, music, and culture. She also holds a visiting role at the Australian National University, continuing to bridge emerging technologies with storytelling and cultural expression.
