Marco Aliberti

Marco Aliberti is Associate Director for International Engagement, Partnership and Education at the European Space Policy Institute (ESPI) in Vienna, Europe’s independent think-tank for space. Since 2020, he is also a Research Associate at Flinders University, Adelaide, Australia. With more than 15 years of experience in space policy, Marco has led a variety of research and engagement activities in the areas of space exploration, governance and international space politics, and Asia’s space programmes, particulalry those of China, India and Japan. He is the author of six books and some dozens of policy papers, conference proceedings and public reports on space policy matters. Prior to joining ESPI in 2012, he had experience in the private sector and had positions consistent with his academic background in East Asian Affairs.
