Born on 31 December 1956 in the city of Vyshny Volochyok, the Kalinin Region, USSR.

EDUCATION

1974 – junior officer, the Suvorov Military School (Kalinin city).
1978 – officer, Air Defence Radioelectronics High School (Pushkin city).
1985 – Sp., Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
Doctor of Technical Sciences.

WORK EXPERIENCE

1978-1998 – military service (USSR, Russian Federation).
1981-1998 – seconded as military representative, senior and leading engineer, head of Sector, head of Department, head of the Research department and deputy head of Computing Center for System Research in the Research Institute of Radio Instrumentation.
1998-2004 – Director General of the "Research and Development Centre "Modul", Ltd.
2004-2008 – Director for Radioelectronics Industry and Control Systems, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Industry (Rosprom).
2008-2011 – Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
2011-2012 – First Deputy to the Chair of the Military and Industry Commission of the Government of the Russian Federation.
2012-2018 – Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary (form 2014) and Board Member of the Military and Industry Commission of the Government of the Russian Federation.
2018-2022 – Vice Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Military and Industry Commission of the Government of the Russian Federation.
2022-present – Director General of the "Roscosmos" State Space Corporation, Russian Presidential Envoy for International Space Cooperation.
