Courtenay McMillan

Starlab Space LLC • Mission Segment Lead

Courtenay McMillan is the Mission Segment Lead for Starlab Space LLC in Houston, Texas. She started her career as a software engineer in the Boston area, then moved to Houston as part of the first generation of International Space Station (ISS) flight controllers. She spent more than twenty years as a civil servant with NASA, serving in progressively more responsible roles in Flight Operations and ISS, and developing expertise in mission integration and flight operations. In 2007, she was selected as a Flight Director; she led more than 500 shifts of ISS operations in just over twelve years. At Starlab, Ms. McMillan is responsible for the integration and implementation of Starlab’s mission architecture, operational concepts, and ground segment, and oversees crew operations, medical support, and flight readiness for our whole team, on Earth and onboard Starlab.
