Paolo Gessini

Paolo Gessini is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Brasília (UnB) and Director of Strategic Intelligence and New Business at the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB). He holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southampton, UK, followed by a Postdoc at the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research (INPE). He was a Founding Partner, Shareholder, and Director of Mars Space Limited, a company specializing in space and plasma technologies. He has extensive experience in Aerospace Engineering, with an emphasis on Aerospace Propulsion, and in Applied Plasma Physics. His work primarily focuses on Spacecraft Electric Propulsion and related areas, but he has also worked in Chemical Propulsion, particularly hybrid rockets, and in Space Systems, primarily small satellites. He has authored or co-authored numerous papers published in peer-reviewed journals or presented at international conferences, where he has often chaired technical sessions.
