Jonathan W. Cirtain

Dr. Jonathan W. Cirtain is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Axiom Space. An accomplished physicist and technology executive, he brings extensive leadership experience across the space and nuclear industries. Previously, he held senior executive positions at BWX Technologies and spent nearly a decade at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, serving in leadership roles in heliophysics, planetary science, space weather, and strategy. He has led the development of advanced space payloads, propulsion, plasma, and data technologies. Dr. Cirtain holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Montana State University and completed a doctoral fellowship at Harvard University.
