Laura Antonia Cerbone

Laura Antonia Cerbone is a PhD candidate at the Scuola Superiore Meridionale, Naples, Italy, where she is enrolled in the SPACE PhD program in Cosmology, Space Science and Space Technology. Her research focuses on the development of a compact DXA scanner for in-flight bone densitometry to monitor bone loss in astronauts. She is a physicist with a background in medical physics and works on the development of diagnostic imaging systems, as well as the characterization and application of hybrid pixel semiconductor detectors from the Medipix family.
