Mark is a cofounder and CEO of Magdrive, developers of next generation space propulsion system technology using solid metal propellant. Mark cofounded Magdrive in late 2019. Since then, the company has secured over $12m of investment from top tier VCs, grown to 40 employees, launched their first orbital demonstration and secured their first commercial customers. Magdrive's next generation Electric Propulsion system is compatible with a range of solid metal propellants including aluminium and aluminium alloys which comprise up to 50% of orbital matter. The company is current working on the DEXTER project, funded by the European Innovation Council, which explores the space systems needed to turn orbital debris and end of life spacecraft from a liability to a valuable source of propellant for mission extension. Prior to cofounding Magdrive, Mark worked in a variety of technical roles in startups spanning from computer vision to mechanical engineering. Mark holds a MEng from Imperial University.
