Jouke Hijlkema

Jouke Hijlkema is a senior research scientist at ONERA's Rocket Propulsion Laboratory. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics from HTS Haarlem (Netherlands), A master’s degree in mathematics from KUN (Netherlands) and PhD in applied Mathematics from ISAE (France). He works at ONERA since 2000. His main research areas are related to solid and hybrid rocket propulsion, both experimental and theoretical/numerical. He is author or co-author of more than 60 book chapters and papers published in peer-reviewed journals or presented in international conferences. He is a member of the IAF Space Propulsion Technical Committee and serves a chairman for several international conferences (EUCASS, Space Propulsion, IAC).
