André Dias

CEiiA • Head of Space - Downstream

Andre Dias is Head of Space - Digital at CEiiA, where he leads the development of advanced software and data platforms for the Earth Observation downstream market, with a strong focus on sustainability, climate intelligence, and operational applications. He holds Master of Science degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (Portugal), and ISAE-SUPAERO (France). He also recently completed the ESA-sponsored Space for Business Program, strengthening his expertise in translating space technologies into commercial and societal applications. Andre began his career as a Research Engineer at Airbus Defence and Space and later at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He subsequently joined INTELI and CEiiA, where he founded the Intelligent Systems Unit, focusing on smart mobility and urban innovation. In 2019, he became co-founder and CTO of Daloop, a CEiiA spin-off and Galp group company, developing scalable electric mobility and charging management solutions for the global decarbonization market. Today, his work sits at the intersection of space data, AI, and sustainability, contributing to the development of next-generation digital platforms and services, and to the positioning of space as a key enabler of climate action, security, and resilient infrastructure.
