Mamatha Maheshwarappa

Dr Mamatha Maheshwarappa is the Head of Research & Development within the Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE) at the UK Space Agency. In this role, she leads and oversees the Office’s R&D portfolio, to deliver technical evidence at a range of national and international forums. She serves as the Vice-Chair of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) Space Systems Committee and represents the United Kingdom in several international bodies, including the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UN COPUOS) and the Inter Agency Space Debris Coordination Committee (IADC). Mamatha is also the Co Chair of the Women in Aerospace Europe (WIA Europe) UK Regional Network, representing the UK Space Agency and supporting efforts to advance diversity, visibility, and leadership for women in the aerospace sector.
