Dr. Behzad Koosha brings over 15 years of expertise in space and terrestrial communications. He holds a PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering, with a focus on satellite communications, from The George Washington University, and his career spans technical development, strategic business planning, and successful commercialization. He began his career as an engineer supporting wireless terrestrial networks at T-Mobile (formerly Sprint) before building an impressive track record at Intelsat, HNS, SpaceLink, and Terran Orbital (a Lockheed Martin company). He currently serves as Public Relations Committee Chair at the Astronauts Memorial Foundation (AMF). Across these organizations, Dr. Koosha has contributed to satellite communications system development while honing his skills in business development, sales, and marketing. He has a proven track record of commercializing new technologies, crafting go-to-market strategies, and driving revenue growth in the aerospace sector, and has helped secure prime contracts through successful commercial and government proposal work. This rare combination of technical depth and business acumen allows him to bridge engineering innovation with market demands. Dr. Koosha also serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at The George Washington University in Washington DC, USA and also chairs the communications track for the IEEE Aerospace Conference, and has authored more than a dozen papers and journal articles. He has been an invited panelist and speaker at numerous national and international space conferences, offering unique perspectives on technological innovation and market strategy.
