Nathan Wallace

Nathan Wallace is currently a Research Fellow in the Agriculture and Environment Group with the Australian Centre for Robotics (ACFR) at the University of Sydney. His research involves development of motion planning and decision making algorithms for constrained autonomous platforms in unstructured environments; applied across a number of industry partnered projects spanning space, agriculture, mining, disaster response and firefighting sectors. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering (Hons. I) and Bachelor of Science (Advanced) degree in 2015, majoring in Mechatronics, Physics and Computer Science, and his Ph.D. in Field Robotics in 2020, both at the University of Sydney. His research interests include autonomous navigation of challenging environments, applied field robotics, and optimal planning for resource- and operationally-constrained systems.
