Giuseppe MANZO

Ambassador Giuseppe Manzo started his mandate in Ankara on January 19th 2026. He is a ranking Ambassador since 2024.

Prior to his assignment as Ambassador of Italy in Turkiye, he was Ambassador in Belgrade (2015-2018) and in Buenos Aires (2018-2021). In Rome, he served as Diplomatic Adviser to the Minister of Ecological Transition (2021-2022) and to the Minister of Environment and Energy Security (2022-2026). He has also served as Spokesperson to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of Press and Institutional Communication of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2012-2013).

He served twice at the Italian Embassy in Washington DC (1998-2002 and 2009-2012) and at the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations in New York (2008-2009) during the mandate of Italy in the UN Security Council. He started his career abroad serving at the Embassy of Italy in Tirana (1995-1998).

He is married with Alma and they have two sons.

He was born in Naples on 18 December 1967.
