Rebecca EVERNDEN

UK Space Agency • Director

Rebecca Evernden is Director of the UK Space Agency, a position she has held since April 2026. She previously served as Director for Space at the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), where she helped shape the UK’s national space policy and strategy.

Rebecca has worked across government and the UK space sector for more than a decade. During her previous roles at the UK Space Agency, she served as Policy Director and International Director, working closely with the European Space Agency and the European Union, leading legislation enabling UK launch activities and serving as a Trustee of the National Space Centre. At BEIS and DSIT, she established the Space Directorate, supported the first launch from Cornwall and contributed to the development of the UK’s National Space Strategy.

As Director, she leads the UK Space Agency in setting the national direction for space and coordinating policy, strategy and delivery across government.
