Xu YAN

As a formal Rocket scientist, Mr. Xu Yan integrates Rocket wisdom into satellite technologies through his innovative approach. Under his strong leadership, HongQingTech has achieved several key breakthroughs, including the world's first permanent-magnet-excited Hall-effect thruster, China’s first Hall propulsion system using Krypton as propellant. HongQing Tech’s thruster and satellite platform have successfully validated these in-house designed technologies in space, performing orbital maneuvers exceeding 1,000 km. As Chief Engineer, Mr.Yan has also led the development and breakthrough of China’s 1st Gen DTC satellite, LEO Satellite Laser Communication systems. These milestone achievements have laid a solid foundation for China’s mega-constellation initiatives and represent a significant leap forward in the nation’s space ambition. Mr. Yan holds a Master degree in fluid mechanics and aerodynamics.
