Fabio Faraoni

Fabio Faraoni is a PhD candidate in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Pisa, specializing in green space propulsion technologies. After earning his Master’s degree with honors from the same institution, he now contributes to the European Green SWaP (Green Solar-to-propellant Water Propulsion) project. As a Work Package Leader, he coordinates in-space propulsion technical activities between the University of Pisa and Delft University of Technology. His research work focuses on developing and testing a bipropellant thruster utilizing hydrogen peroxide and hydrogen. He is currently leading the design of the first 100-N prototype and the setup of the corresponding experimental test facilities. Alongside his research, Fabio supports teaching activities for Master's-level rocket propulsion courses at the University of Pisa and regularly presents his research at major international aerospace conferences, including IAC 2026.
