Maria Chiara Noto

Italian Space Agency (ASI) • Deputy Director of the IV International Affairs Directorate

Dr. Maria Chiara Noto is the Deputy Director for International Affairs and Head of International Cooperation and Space Diplomacy at the Italian Space Agency (ASI). She represents ASI in several international fora, including UN-COPUOS and ESA-IRC, and supports the Italian Delegation to ESA PB-NAV as advisor.

She holds a Ph.D. in International and European Law from the University of Milan, a Master’s in International Law from the University of Nice, a Master in Space Policy from SIOI, and a Law degree from the University of Parma. She is a member of the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) and the author of numerous publications on international legal issues, including aerospace, human rights, and environmental law.

With over 15 years of experience in international law, academia, and research, she has worked in Italy and abroad, contributing to European projects on maritime safety and security, and has held legal advisory roles with the Armed Forces and the Ministry of University and Research.
