Andrei Shumeiko

Dr. Andrei Shumeiko is a lead engineer at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University and general manager at Advanced Space Technologies Limited. He holds a PhD in electric propulsion from Bauman University (Russia). His main research areas are electric propulsion with thrust-vectoring capability and small satellite missions. He is the author or co-author of over 30 papers that have been published in peer-reviewed journals or presented at international conferences, and he holds over 10 granted patents in the field of aerospace. His patented inventions have been realized in real devices that have been successfully tested in-orbit during several space missions. Dr. Shumeiko is currently Vice-Chair of the IAF Space Propulsion Technical Committee and serves as chair of several space propulsion symposiums at the International Astronautical Congress.
